Why CBD isn't a Wellness Fad and Should be a Part of Everyone's Lifestyle

CBD oil is all the “buzz” in the health world right now, and while some trends come and go, I believe this one is here to stay and become more of the norm. Not only in the wellness space, but as part of most people’s lifestyles because of the slew of health benefits it packs.

To start, what is CBD? First, let’s discuss what it is not. CBD {cannabidiol} is not marijuana that will get you “high”. It is just one of over 85 different cannibinoids that is found in the cannabis plant. These primary chemical compounds are found in hemp and all cannabis plants, but unlike THC, CBD is not psychoactive.

As humans we have our own endocannabinoid system that helps keep us in homeostasis {a state of balance} making CBD a highly useful tool for our bodies to use and reap its benefits.

Choosing to add CBD to your lifestyle helps you not only maintain homeostasis, but can help support emotional and physical stress. It helps support a healthy mood, as well as healthy sleep patterns and appetite. It helps fight inflammation in the body {at the root cause of most, if not all, diseases} and manages pain. It’s also full of antioxidants making it great for supporting a healthy immune system, and protecting the brain against neurodegenerative diseases and mood disorders such as depression. On a personal level, it has helped with the anxiety I typically experience a few days a week, especially when I wake from sleep. I take it and almost instantly the anxiety subsides. I have also noticed that it helps me with digestion and inflammation. CBD’s vast health benefits are likely due to the fact that it is able to bring the body back to homeostasis, so whatever you may be experiencing within your own unique body it can help bring you into back into balance.

Because of the abundant of benefits it comes with this is a product that I recommend to all of my clients that I work with. It’s a versatile medicine that will help your body adapt to whatever it may be experiencing and at least one {if not more} of the issues mentioned above are commonly found in people across the board. To best support one’s system, I recommend that they add CBD in addition to other holistic lifestyle choices that include stress management such as journaling, time spent in nature, yoga, and/or breathwork, and a well-balanced, organic whole foods diet full of anti-inflammatory foods, healthy fats, fiber, phytonutrients from leafy greens, veggies, and fruits, and clean protein sources, while limiting {or better yet, completely eliminating} consumption of gluten, processed foods and sugars, and conventional dairy.

So with all of the new CBD products on the market what is my go to CBD oil? My fav brand that I have been lucky to experience is Tonic CBD, specifically I love that the hemp that they source is organic {the best way to reap all of the benefits without getting exposure to toxins sprayed on non-organic plants}. Two of my favorite products of theirs, and ones I use daily are their OG Tonic made with hemp extract, ashwagandha, black seed oil, MCT oil, and pure maple and Chill Tonic made with hemp extract, ashwagandha, lemon balm, passionflower, black seed oil, mct oil, and pure maple. I love that these are extracts that I simply put under my tongue and hold for 10-30 seconds before swallowing and I almost instantly feel better.

Use code fitbritt for 10% off your order and become a CBD believer. Unlike many supplements that you take and “question” if they are working, these blends noticeably work and have made such a positive impact on my life by lowering anxiety, as well as the inflammation and pain I sometimes experience. *This post was not paid for, and is truly my own account and experience with this specific product and CBD in general*
